We’re in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, Medicare, United Healthcare, and most major insurers. We are especially proud of our affiliation with OneHealth Nebraska, an independent physician association dedicated to preserving patient choice in healthcare. We believe that Nebraskans throughout the state deserve first-class dermatology services, and our fees and health insurance participation make that possible.
How do your fees compare with my primary care clinic?
As independent physicians, our fees aren’t negotiated up with your insurer by a big corporation that employs a large network of physicians. That means that we charge far less than most network-owned clinics in our area for the same type of service. Surprised? It’s true. Compare our fees to primary care clinics or other types of providers for yourself. They can make a big difference if you have a high-deductible insurance plan.
What type of insurance do you accept?
For your convenience, we accept most major health insurance plans in our area, including:
• Blue Cross / Blue Shield
• Co-Opportunity Health
• Midlands Choice
• Railroad Medicare
• United Healthcare
• Many other plans
Will my visit be covered by my insurance?
Your health insurance policy is a contract between you and your health insurance company. We assist our patients in obtaining insurance coverage for our services by filing your insurance claims electronically for you, however, we cannot guarantee you that your insurance company will cover all of our services, some of which are cosmetic (non-covered). Some patients also have a high deductible, which must be met by the patient each year before their insurance begins to provide payment. Your deductible often determines the difference between what is “covered” and what is paid for by your insurance plan. Please contact your insurance company directly before your visit if you have any questions about what services and treatments are covered under your policy.
What do I need to pay at my visit?
To comply with the contractual obligations stipulated by most insurance companies, we are required to collect the following types of payments from you at the time of service:
• Full-payment for non-covered (cosmetic) services
What if I don’t have insurance?
Uninsured patients are charged our regular fees, which we set at or near what insurance companies pay for our services. That means if you don’t have insurance, you pay similar fees to what insured patients pay. However, we do ask that non-insured patients pay in-full at the time of service.
Do you have payment plans?
We participate with Care Credit, which allows qualified patients to take up to six months to pay, interest free. For more information, contact Care Credit at (800) 677-0718.
